Some people are shortsighted. All this does is push residents out of New Orleans and to their neighborhoods.
But let everyone celebrate. This is bad for the state and shite like this happening around the country is bad for all of us.

Then those areas can be gentrified and sold for untold profits.
Who is going to be there to push gentrification. If you force all of the decent people out, they aren’t going to come running back ready to pay more for real estate because some rich guy bought a couple of blocks and threw up some yoga studios.
The animals released from jail are going to keep the area trashy and dangerous. The gentrification process needed to make New Orleans even halfway decent will be met with some resistance.

And by failing to prosecute in a timely fashion,
If he were prosecuting lessor charges, or plea bargaining, or dropping charges, there's at least a (weak) argument that it's a professional judgement call.
But just entirely failing to act in these cases, at all, is inexcusably not doing your job.

Literally blows my fricking mind. Glad that I don’t have that kind of mindset.

That DA needs a good ole American tar and feathering then being run out of town.

And that is EXACTLY the platform that the cuck ran on. And the dumbass citizens of New Orleans elected him anyway. Well enjoy the crime and lawlessness.

Tell me more about this Jason Williams character…

It’s actually a brilliant plan that will help the minority community in New Orleans. If you keep releasing murderers, carjackers, thieves, etc., you will have a constant population of murderers, carjackers, and thieves. There won’t be an opportunity for new criminals to break into these lines of work. Violent crime will no longer be a career option for the impoverished youths in New Orleans. Instead, they will stay in school and pursue other careers.

I wish an asteroid would wipe that place off the map.

Williams was too busy picking out the curtains for his jail cell.

No. I mean yeah as far as just desserts, but the fact of the matter is a Nola that is as functional as possible is good for everyone pretty much everywhere.

They did enough time.
6 months for attempted murder is plenty. Makes for another chance to go back to prison for murder the next time
