I swear if I end up having a kid I’m moving to some random rural town in South Dakota. Just no way I would send them to school here, public or otherwise.
Idaho and Montana are looking better and better by the day.

They encourage them to "graduate early" after junior year if they have met a minuscule amount of credits.

The bureaucracy that has infested the nation’s public schools with administrators hell bent on changing everything in the name of societal justice and new teaching coupled with the complete lack of disciplinary actions by said administrators and parents are killing public education.
There are tons of great public school systems in the south.
Your problem lies with the population who attends the schools in Louisiana.
The ones who can and care send their kids private and the ones that don’t either don’t have the numbers to force change or don’t care.
Healthy families and communities create healthy successful schools.
Broken families and communities create broken schools.
No teacher or curriculum is going to fix a lifetime of bad parenting and cultural failure.

Yup. They check but it’s not very hard. I know offhand of some white students that live in EBR and go to Dutchtown. I’m sure there are plenty of minorities that are doing it.

No im not. I don’t worship Trump like most on here do so that makes me a ‘Lib’ to the low iq idiots on here. I’m more masculine and a real man than 99% of this forum certainly more of a man than the obese Trump baws. Fond one post on here where I have praised Biden, Kamala or any of that stupid nonsense. There is nothing weaker and more low t than Democratic Party.

Nothing wrong with it. But they graduate Juniors with no direction in life, and most have bad GPAs. I'd like to see a school fight a little harder to get these kids some knowledge and experience before sending them out into the real world. But, conveniently, they get to erase poor GPAs, bad test scores, and non college attendees from their statistics. I think that clearly becomes a conflict of interest for the school.

There's so much stuff that happens at Dutchtown that you never hear about: overdoses, etc. On top of that, if a kid isn't strong academically they'll do everything they can to get rid of him/her so that their test scores won't be negatively impacted. The AP schools aren't all they're cracked up to be... shady AF.
Haha, ok. I can’t speak for all the schools in AP. I do know some of my kid’s friends did have some issues with discipline and were dealt with pretty harshly. It kind of surprised me, but my kids never got in trouble so I never saw it first hand. What you said about being a smart, hard working, well behaved student is partially true I guess? My kids never had an issues and were prepared for college. I know some parents who didn’t like AP schools. It’s definitely possible to go there and learn very little. You are required to take advantage of the opportunities that are there. Personal responsibility is definitely a thing in schools. You should push your kids to challenge themselves academically. You should also hold them accountable for behavior from a young age.
