EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - At 60 years old, a Pike County woman is now a mom. Last year, Claudette Cook and her husband decided to start a family, but they knew they'd have to deal with a few bumps in the road. Last fall, they saw an in vitro fertilization specialist who gave her the go-ahead.

"Age is but a number with God. Plus, I was healthy and in shape. I was like, yes, I know I can do this-I know I can. No matter how hard it was, He brought me through it all, so, awesome God," Claudette told us at Deaconess Women's Hospital on Tuesday.

Full Story

Seems irresponsible having kids at an age where, considering average life expectancy for her gender and race, you have a high likelihood at not living until the children are legal adults and able to take care of themselves.

plus side, they won't have to worry about their friends trying to bang their mom...assuming she's still alive in 13 years.

Chances are if you're going to a fertilization specialist you're not a burden to society. I'm happy for her.
