Cheap is a relative term. I own sleeping bags that cost more than my 1000 watt lights.
It's more than lights. Imo you need a minimum of 3k to start a nice room that will have a nice ROI.

I think people will do it. I mean prices are around $200/oz. Average person consumes 1-3oz per mont. So thats 2400-7200$ per year after taxes. Considering 6 plants will yield approx 24oz per 4-5 months, seems like some people will find it worth their time. Plus being able to sell the excess on the black market. PLus a lot of people are hobbyists when it comes to this. Its not that hard to grow.

Well, of course. But just like here I expect Craigslist to have a lot of equipment for sale once a lot of people get frustrated and quit.

I don't think so but I'll say I had a year of heartache before my system finally clicked and I had it down.
It's not hard but it's not easy.

I think it will be after 2030 before any of the southern states legalize marijuana. We're always the last to do anything that could benefit the region economically. Imagine the fine ganja that could be grown commercially in Kentucky!

Location doesn't really matter when it's grown indoors

Honestly I can see Mississippi or Texas legalizing first in the south. If Texas goes first the rest will follow suit with haste.
I can see Texas or Mississippi legalizing it within the next 8 years.

Is it easy to grow not so good stuff outdoors?
Posted on 1/1/18 at 8:40 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
It would have seeds

If you just plant seeds, yeah.
However, a grower won't do that. They will plant clones that come from the mother plants. They will already be guaranteed female, so no seeds. Unless they stress and hermaphrodite.

You need a good environment. The best outdoor environment in this country is Northern California up to the Canadian border. Although there are other good areas. Louisiana is not a good outdoor choice. Indoor all the way.
You also have more to deal with more issues since you can't control every part of your environment unlike growing indoors. You also have to worry about animals eating and or trampling your plants.

Weed is considered the devil yet kills no one and is illegal for reasons that are complete bullshite. Tobacco is legal yet is one of the worst things you'd want to consume on a regular basis.

I guess I don’t understand how inhaling fine particulate matter is good in either case? So one has natural, salubrious combustion products and the other has toxic combustion products?

The South, including Texas, is dominated by Evangelicans. The southern state with the smallest percent of Evangelicans will likely be the first to legalize and the state with the highest percentage the last. Traditionally the latter has been Alabama or Mississippi but Texas is frightfully conservative, too.

in what insane reality do you live in that hardcore drug addicts are "average"?

the combustion products in marijuana are mostly to blame for the wildfires california is having. The oil produced by a marijuana tree is as flammable as gasoline and with all the marijuana they are growing they really had no hope of putting the fires out once they started
