My bag would last us 2 weeks in case of nuclear fall out

It's just a Patagonia backpack and I keep it locked, stocked, and ready to rock.

I'm no germaphobe and let my kid do whatever. I consider germs good. I just hate public restrooms and big fat people noises and smells from the stalls.

How is that really any different than going to the car? shite it doesn't even have to be the car, all I said was I preferred the car to a changing table in a public restroom. I don't think I've ever even taken my kids somewhere I have had to park so far away it would be a terrible inconvenience

Even if the men’s has a baby station, I’ll tell my wife it doesn’t

I find it pretty funny that you're avoiding a perfectly good bathroom to go out to your car regardless of the distance.

Agreed, never would attempt that move. Was just using it as an example

My truck tailgate has served me well as a changing table in a pinch.

My daughter has been to several college (football and basketball, and the softball regional this year) games as well as Saints games and has enjoyed them all.

It's going to be okay. I had essentially zero experience with babies, let alone newborns, before my little girl was born. Everything your baby will need you to do will come naturally - holding, soothing, changing, etc. Get ready to start washing a metric frickton of bottles and shite. If your wife is pumping, you get to wash all that stuff too. Washing dishes is just the next year of your life.

Maybe they should put tampon dispensers too since were putting things that only women should use in men’s bathrooms

Sometimes, your troll comments are funny.

This attempt is weak. 2/10.

Seems to me that a public place to change diapers would be unbelievably nasty.

Never used those. We just changed in the back of the SUV.

Even in shopping carts, restaurants and of course bathrooms, Clorox or Lysol wipes were there.

I think every new dad is. We have natural instincts too but they are different. The first month of child #1 I was pretty useless. Wife was trying to breastfeed, and so spent a lot of time with her, and I went back to work after a week. I spent a lot of evenings just holding her and washing stuff. Eventually wife gave up BF because it wasn't working and I got to feed her with the bottle at night, and started figuring out the diapers better and holding and burping etc. You start to get the hang of it after a few weeks.

Take a class with your wife/baby mama. That helped a lot. The books just scare the crap out of you, don't even bother with those.

what's wrong with doing it the old fashioned way?

Handing the poop machine off to the women folk and they magically clean it.

A baby isn't a thing until it can clean itself.

There is no excuse for a reasonable sized airport (MSY, looking at you) to lack changing tables in men's rooms.

Hopefully this is fixed in the new terminal.

This infuriates me.

I wipe down high chairs and pick stuff off the floor as we're leaving a restaurant. Feel terrible for waiters/waitresses that have to do that shite on top of their other duties.

Common courtesy is dead to some people.

We always tried to do this, and were successful most of the time. However, if it was just me and the kid, the meltdown was so extreme that it was better for everyone else in the place for us to leave quickly. Usually I would throw a $20 bill on the table, in addition to the regular tip, for the waitress.

That works as long as the "women folk" are around.

This. Will never use one of those in any bathroom.
