This guy is awesome. He is a grad student who is going to all 50 states to mow yards for free for the elderly and veterans. My brother in law is deployed right now for 8 months on a submarine and this guy showed up to help my sister (no pics). Such an awesome gesture. Says his mission in doing this is to speak to local youth about each cutting 50 yards for free for elderly, vets, and single moms. Pretty cool.

Sounds familiar.

In all seriousness, good for him to help others

Seems like a good old boy. Really great thing that he’s doing for people that probably can’t do it themselves (in a reasonable time at least). Hopefully others will join with him.

Over the years, we spent weeks on end in hospitals with my oldest son who had some serious medical issues.

One of the best gifts we ever received, we came home one night from about a 20 day stay and my grass was cut and weed-ated.

This is a true CSB. (Eta, the op is the CSB, not my story)

No his mission in doing this is to get attention. Mowing a lawn in each state? What does that accomplish that mowing 200 yards in the same city would?

I guess you missed the part about him getting local youth involved. He can stay in his own town and cut 200 lawns, or he can go out to different places and get others involved and doing this. By doing so, an exponentially greater number of yards get cut, but also those people in the other communities he gets to get involved learn some values, etc..

I’m not certain what the past tense of ‘weed eat’ is, but I’m not okay with ‘weed-ated.’

Lol one of the funniest Chappelle's show episodes.

And awesome gesture, I have a now-retired relative who started his 20+ year Navy career on submarines

If you’re a salesman, are you going to make more sales hitting up 200 businesses in one place in a month or 50 businesses around the country for 3 months?
