I do miss the covid greens though. Hole placement was the same every time and the raised cup knocked 20 strokes off my round
It was a pretty wild time looking back on it. Fortunate to have a job and be comfortable during it all, but there were some good times in there (looking back after the fact).

pretty sure noone really thought masks before being seated was gonna prevent people getting sick
Being an American leftist means never having to say you're sorry.

I thought you said they were reasonable positions? Knowing something isn't going to do anything, but doing it anyways so that it looks like we are doing something is the opposite of reasonable
I consider opening restaurants knowing it would mean some people would get sick to be the reasonable choice over keeping them closed indefinitely.

Should never have been under consideration.

The mental gymnastics here is wild. From your own statements: We know it wasn't going to do anything, however it makes it look like we are doing something. That way we can open the reastaurants that we are forcing to be closed otherwise, because it looks like we are doing something.
Yes, yes, common sense
ETA: We are in 2025 and there is someone still arguing that having to put on a mask to walk from the front door to your table, but not while you are sitting at the table, made sense and was a reasonable thing to do. I am simply astonished.

The dipshits in here talking about "I never took any precautions" are exactly that, dipshits. They can pretend they knew what was going on, but they didn't. No one did. If you weren't trying to protect yourself and your family those first couple months you were indisputably irresponsible.
Lot of threads on here will show you otherwise

you are the one doing mental gymnastics.
everything was shut down and masks were required indoors at stores, shops, etc.
the move was made to open restaurants and allow people to take off their masks to eat. that was a reasonable decision to make.

You should be ashamed. Chances are that only 99.98% of the people in the arena that night survived.

Those first weeks we didn't get clear word on how it was transmissible because scientists were still trying to figure it out.
You mean you couldn’t figure out how the common cold was transmissible?
