I think we'd be shocked at how many people aren't able to take any real maternity leave.

Then why are they having kids? If you're job sucks that much then you probably can't afford children anyway.

Having offspring isn't an intrinsic right.

I know, that’s what I was getting at. That kid was probably fricked from the get go.

Obviously that doesn’t mean it’s okay to stab the kid or they deserved it.

But consider how dire their work situation is if they are having to leave a 3 day old in daycare. Women don't just hop up and get back at it after pushing a 8 pound baby through their vag.

well, unfortunately, we have grown accustomed to these types of fricked up stories

but this story did reveal something to us that live in the middle/upper middle class bubble, which is the idea of 1) overnight daycares and 2) a 3 day old being in daycare

I realize its fricked up, but that is probably a bigger shock for many

Not defending poor life choices, but have you seen the cost of daycare? I paid almost $700/m for my daughter.

The taxpayer probably picks up the tab for many single mothers.

Yeah my friends pay $1500 for 3 kids. It’s absurd.

But they and I suspect you can afford it.

At day care? Is this normal?

I talked to about a dozen daycares before we picked one and the youngest any of them allowed was 6 weeks.

You’re assuming the mother was at work. It’s possible she was shaking that arse at th club, especially if tax payers are pay for her childcare

Ours starts at 6 weeks.

I understand not everyone gets maternity leave, but a 3 day old baby in daycare? That poor mom. Child birth isn't easy, she needs time to recover before having to back to work. Maybe not 6 weeks, but more than a few days.

$100 says she wasn’t at work

More likely she was working as a waitress.

This means in the queue for the orphanage.
