Writing the biggest check I've ever had to this year. Actually two checks since I can't pay more than $100 million in a single check.

Got some back but solely because of the lifelong learning credit (last year of grad school). Broke even with state.

I had to exercise some stock options this year and ended up paying a little over 11 billion in taxes. It's more than I typically pay.

Had to file an extension but my estimated payment coming out Monday is pretty hefty relative to any prior year. I had been plus or minus less than $500 for a few years, so I'm a little bummed about missing the mark this year.

Last two years the taxman cometh.
This year almost made up for the last two years.

I don't understand it at all.

I get $39 back. Almost hit the perfect $0 mark. Definitely the closest and best I will probably ever do
