Do y'all mean the Pledge of Allegience? I've never heard of a school playing the national anthem outside of a high school sporting event
When I was in school every morning they'd play the Pledge of Allegiance and one patriotic song (the National Anthem, America the Beautiful, God Bless the U.S.A., etc.).

That is really fricking pathetic.
but the 4th grader is the emotional peer of the average nfl player so it fits.

I got sent to the principles office for singing the national anthem to loudly in 4th or 5th grade.

If the teacher did anything they'd probably be dismissed on the spot.

Yawn.
It's nothing impressive or special. It's just the same old, tired-assed SJW battle cry:
"Please! Look at me! Please!"

Back when I was in fourth grade us Americans used to beat the shite out of the commies in our grade for their views on property rights.

If this happened in my class, I would have let it happen. But I would be sure to use it as a teaching moment by asking him in front of the class why he did that, then summarily dismantling the regurgitated bullshite narrative.

The teacher should open up a conversation to his class about this and try to extrapolate the reasoning behind it. Let the kid explain his convictions and teach the rest of the class that open debate is a good thing. That all sides should be heard even if the issue is frivolous to you and your convictions.

First, if you were a teacher would you have put him on the spot and had him explain why he was kneeling knowing his reasoning would be either completely flawed or a regurgitation of something his parents told him? And second, would you allow it as a parent?
There has literally never been a more appropriate reason to post this meme, than for this kneeling bullshite

I probably would have thought "frick... its not worth dealing with"..

If I'm the teacher, I'm doing whatever the rule says I should do. If we've never spoke about or really have much of a rule on it, I'm not doing a darn thing in the moment and just reporting it to Administration.
If I'm the parent, I can guarantee my 4th grader would not do that more than 1 time at the most, and if he did it that 1 time, he would not do it again.
