New interior is crazy nice. I got family with a near 20yrs old V6 Benz. It has been reliable.
All the electronics and the 4cylinder turbo has me apprehensive about trying one.

Frick no. 460 hp V8 with a stick, baw.
Killer engine but Car and Driver clocked the 460 HP Ford Mustang GT best time at 4.2 seconds... even though Ford advertises that it will do 0-60 under 4 seconds. On the other hand the 4 Cylinder Turbo Porsche Boxster clocked 0-60 in at 3.6 seconds. The little four cyl. smoked the big block V8 with half the cylinders. And when it comes to handling...game over...

I had it completely rebuilt under warranty because I heard a ticking noise. Said they thought it was slack in some sort of piston sleeve or something.

My daily is a 2019 Accord Sport with the 2.0T. It’s faster than any V6 I’ve ever had by far. Only complaint I have is the 10 speed auto shifts about 7 times before 40 mph under normal pressure. Mileage is meh. Love the car in general though.

If only you could drive them on the road.

It'll be gone before the warranty's out and I'll just get a new one. Sorry you're poor and have to keep a car out of warranty.
Doesn’t sound like you should be criticizing anyone’s finances.

4-cylinder turbos
I think Chevy is putting one in the Silverado for some reason.
The ecoboost sounds fun but I opted for a V8 for reliability.

Any good examples? I'd be curious to drive one.
Any of the Euros. Audi, BMW and Mercedes all do a good job. One to try is you get a chance is the X2 M35i. It has ~330 pound feet of torque from 1700-4500 rpm. An even better example is the Porsche Cayman S 305 pound feet in a light car.

The low end power was really poor.
The biggest advantage of forced induction is the ability to produce tons of torque down low, much more than a similar displacement NA outside of diesel or a VERY undersquare gas engine which you won't find in a car. If a turbo is missing low-end grunt and isn't undersized displacement wise it is the tuning not the fact it is a turbo.
One of the best turbo experiences outside of hypercars is the 911 Turbo S. 520 pound feet from a 3.8l engine all from about 1800 rpm. They have VTG (variable turbo geometry) turbos that can act like small turbos for quick spool up and no lag and increasingly bigger ones for high boost at higher engine speeds. You can be loafing along at 2k rpm and floor it and it still pulls like a train, but the car is capable of 2.6s 0-60 times.

I have a Vette Grand Sport, not a Mustang, and it handles just fine on the track. And I’ve had a 911 before, so I’m familiar with Porsche handling. A big V8 just delivers a different kind of power than you’re going to get from a Cayman (or Boxster) - it’s all about the torque. Analyzing stats out of magazines is fun, but drive both then tell me what’s more exhilarating - especially as a daily driver in addition to the occasional track day.
To each his own, though. If I hadn’t bought a Vette again I’d have probably ended up in a Cayman S. But the raw power the Vette delivers is a different experience and just puts a smile on my face.
ETA: You’re also comparing a Boxster to a Mustang GT that’s somewhere around 800 lbs. heavier.

Yes, my wife's car is a Chevy sonic turbo. It's pretty zippy and seems to have plenty of power. Although the owners manual says it's ok to run regular fuel in it I only run premium.

No I have an American 5.3L V8 son. Any other commie questions?

I'd love to put aftermarket twin turbos on the sonic. I haven't even been able to find a bigger turbo much less twins.

One of my kids has VW Passat turbo I think it’s 4 cylinders. Pretty quick. Great mpg

Never driven an ecoboost. My truck has a 351w back when trucks came with nuts straight from the factory. Baw.
