Two girls?
Within a week of each other?
Look similar. Around the same age.
Dismembered and dumped on I-10?

The thing is, this guy is still on the loose.
True Detective type case.

2 were in the same week? I missed that. I thought it was over a span of years....that puts a whole new paint job on things.

Where does it say "dismembered" then "dumped?"

Two can be a coincidence. People are always stupidly walking along the interstate while other people are stupidly driving while texting.

They also said the "dismembered" girl last week was killed by multiple blunt force injuries and still have not ruled her death as a homicide (just unclassified, but have not ruled homicide out either). The police were speculating that it was an accident--that she had been walking on the interstate when she was hit. So I guess they thought it was possible to be hit by a car or cars which would cause the blunt force injuries and cause her to be dismembered.

Yes, it is very suspicious that 2 young black girls were found in similar manners within a week of each other. But I also think it is possible that a body could be torn apart after being hit by fast-moving vehicles.

I've heard the number maybe higher than has been publicly acknowledged like as high as 10 over the last 15 years like this in various parishes.

Besides being killed, dismembered, and dumped, there are other ways she might have ended up in pieces on the highway. She could've been walking and been hit, or she could've been killed and then dumped, or she could've been thrown from a car and then hit.

I think this is exactly right. It's in our nature to suspect the worst but two bodies don't constitute a trend. The two situations seem completely different thus far. One was a 16 year old who had apparently been sneaking out of her house and the other was a girl who was last seen leaving the strip club arguing with who her coworkers think was her pimp.

No, it's not a serial killer.

I don't think they have anything to do with each other or the past dismemberment of strippers.

Guys.... pull yourselves together. Let's just wait until the autopsy findings before jumping to conclusions.

Rumors of a serial killer in NOLA would cost the city an arm and a leg in tourism dollars.

No need to get all bent out of shape yet.

Blunt force trauma does not mean "hacked up" in any dictionary or definition of the phrase.

Two girls hit by cars that didn't stop or call the cops? Seems strange to me.

To be fair, the latest seems odd in description. You'd think they would be able to confirm whether cut up or if an arm was just pulled off getting hit by a car. They imply either is possible in most of what I've read.

Good thing I'm not a black female stripper in the Quarter.

That's what strikes me as odd as well. It's either one or the other. There are either clear-cut cut marks or there aren't. I would assume it's pretty easy to determine.

And that's the most important thing when talking about a possible serial killer.

The nay-sayers don't know there isn't one any more than the true detectives know there is one. Let's see what happens.

Good reason why I won't let my wife work on Bourbon anymore.
