Run the exact same mission profile enough times, even the Somalis can figure it out.
Plus, the armor that should have been there, wasn't.

My First Team leader was there. I was a young private and seeing a NCO at that time with a combat patch. He was like a God. Everyone looked up to him. Cool dude, ended up doing one tour in Afghanistan and then Iraq and got out. He saw the writing on the wall back then.

Here is a good listen if you have time, best to break it up over a few days when you have the time to listen, very detailed. Mike Durant is speaking with Phil Williams (graduated high school with Phil, good guy). Mike started a company, Principle Solutions, in Huntsville, Alabama which he turned over to his employees, it is an ESOP.

Clinton was one of the worst foreign policy Presidents this country has ever seen. All those years of his work culminated on a sunny morning in September 2001.

Blood on Bill Clinton and Les Aspin's hands. US forces should never have been under UN control there. Side note shortly after this when US forces were put back under US control a couple of key air strikes and ground force raids later and Mahmound farrah aydeed skyhook or whatever his name was, was never heard from again. The man in charge then was a Louisiana born and raised flag O.

I precepted a male nurse, was a retired Army E-8 Sergeant that was in the 10th Mountain Division QRF in the BlackHawk Down fight.
Impressive guy,he wasn’t a braggart.I knew him a good many months before he told me he was involved in that.
He said his anxiety level was off the charts at first. He decided he likely was going to die that day but he was determined he was going to take as many as he could with him. Then his mind went into another dimension like everything was in slow motion, was a surreal experience.
While he was in hospital he watched nurses going about their business and decided that was going to do after he retired. He went on to become a NP.

In fairness bush sent US troops first. Then the UN guys got slaughtered then Clinton had the made for evening news amphibious landing with the US kind of taking over the UN operation.

The US command asking Clinton and Aspin for more resources to use in the Mogadishu environment. Namely more armor for Humvees, Bradley vehicles, helicopter and fixed wing gunships. All requests were denied.

Look, I got my own reservations on Bush but I said "Clinton," specifically not president.

Gordon and Shughart was some legit badasses. Both were Delta Force.
It has been since discussed with how lethal they were with the overwhelming group enclosing on them.
2 men, held off 100s until the bitter end when they straight ran out of bullets.
Stacking bodies is a perfect term for what they were actually doing
