I’ve been a bigger version of that bathroom in a restaurant in Memorial City. It had group handwashing in the middle of the room when you were done.

Modern architecture is meant to break the human spirit. I'm not surprised the ghouls in charge of critiquing it chose to award this place.

??????. ????. Give “The Tribes in N.O.” 3 days and it will look like a A Bomb destroyed it.

Pensacola just stalled like 4 of them at about 140K a piece which included site work and bringing in water and sewer connections from a fairly long distance.
Not a fair comparison. That’s a red state with sane government.

Oh I’m sure the mayor’s team visited someplace like Lake Como or Aspen.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! Wonder where tax dollars go? Crap like this!

I’m obviously in the wrong line of work…

The 3.8 mil includes developing the manufacturing templates for producing more of these cheaply. The city just awarded a 4 mil contract for 35 modular restrooms in other parks. So each new modular restroom will cost about $115,000 compared to a typical cost of 2 mil.

Oh that makes way more sense, if true, Zappas.
ETA: I don't see what manufacturing templates are needed? It seems like straight construction (maybe for the framing?)... Anyway...

This what 400k built in Houma a few years ago at Summerfield Park.

Brie’s Agency Landscape + Planning helping BREC spend $100m over 10 years. Ms. Harvard seems to know what she’s doing.

If they can tear down an old restroom and drop a modular one down in a matter of weeks, that may justify the initial cost for engineering/design.
Still, they used SharkBite fittings on all the plumbing connections. Although they work well without leaking, those are somewhat expensive.

Yeah - but how much to connect to the Staten Island sewer system?

And just like that, “The Fountainhead” is being played out in real life
