If I had a remote job and an SO whose career didn't matter I'd be abroad too. Opportunity is just too great.

I'm pretty jealous of the remote folks I know around here that essentially take 3 month vacations whenever they feel like it.

The legal field needs to get with the times on that front.

Nashville, south Florida would be options for me. Honestly, if you have that kind of cash flow, I'd have one on the beach and one in the mountains. Rent the one you are not in.
What do you do?

You can move literally anywhere and you want to stay in the South?

Only on the OT does someone come here looking for advice on places to buy a $1.2M house for his work from home job.

OP should know with that much money pretty much any location in the South is attainable. And at those prices the location will have you away from the ghetto you seem to be scared of.

I would say nashville but the public schools suck and there's state income tax right? Honestly, if I had what the OP claims I'd go somewhere with an true international airport, no state income tax, and great public schools. Does that place exist? I don't know I've been drinking watching march madness and don't feel like thinking.

Tennessee didn't have a state income tax when I lived there 8 - 9 years ago...

If I can afford a $1.2M house my kids are going to a top private school.

While this is likely a troll that's what's still confusing about the OP. You have significant disposable income to shelter your kids from anything ghetto about BR or any city in the south.

Living in CCL and sending your kids to Episcopal is no different than living in Sanctuary in Mandeville and sending your kids to St. Paul's/SSA

Won't make them any more or less successful. All about higher education degree and how you carry yourself. I know bottom of the earth scum that came from private schools.

I'm impressed that someone whose spelling and grammar are so terrible would be making that kind of money. Unless your at home work consists of tending to your money trees.
