I wouldn't. I have no desire to live in a house that big.

That's one reason. Another is those houses sell for under a million because the commute sucks.

Though this guy doesn't need to do that apparently

That house is 4 min away from the SRT which will get you anywhere.

Austin roads suck dick. DFW's does not.

While I agree that Austin infrastructure is FUBAR, I don't know what that has to do with Google Maps stating Frisco is 35 minutes from downtown Dallas on a Saturday.

I'm missing the point of why that matters.

Frisco has pretty much everything downtown Dallas has minus AA and the Arts Complex.

Depending on industry, you may never need to be in downtown Dallas unless you are going to look at Art or watch the Stars/Mavericks.

If true, move abroad. Get a European client to claim you. What you´re looking to spend won´t get you a big house, but it will be well built, and you won´t have to worry about your kids.

Only on the OT does someone come here looking for advice on places to buy a $1.2M house for his work from home job.

OP should know with that much money pretty much any location in the South is attainable. And at those prices the location will have you away from the ghetto you seem to be scared of.
