Most are because of the lag in reporting.
then they shouldn't be dropping them in the july data. it messes up the trend curves.

Labs not on state electronic reporting systems are only required to report positive cases immediately.

Therefore, negatives are not reported as quickly.

This kind of stuff is probably happening all over.

Gotcha, doctoring positive result percentages up is one thing, announcing 100% positive in an entire state is pretty bold.

People not reading the numbers correctly and feeding into their own conspiracy theories? Yep.

I agree, I'm just saying how it is. It's irrelevant when looking at the overall death rate but misleading when looking at a day/week/month set.

No, labs not fully reporting all their tests.

His original tweet was wrong, but he is still on the right track. All of those testing sites have only submitted their positive results. They are 100% positive on results. So the amount of positive cases is the same, but the amount of tests give is incorrect as there should be a lot more negative results.

What’s the timeframe for reporting negative results? They aren’t going to get around to reporting those until the backlog of tests can be processed.

I own a clinical lab operating on the gulf coast. If this is true, this is a massive CLIA violation and will be cause for immediate shut down.

I've had a few "site visits" to run through test procedures and results over the last three months. All glowing remarks. These guys can get fricked if they are doing this.

Shouldn't all results be reported on the same time frame? Seeing that people's lives and livelihoods are at stake?

Reporting should be as accurate as possible seeing the decisions that are being made using said reports.

State health boards have different reporting policies. We report weekly because its easier to keep up with our current work flow.

I've spoken with CLIA directors in the few states we operate in and they are all pretty infuriated with the lack of "timely" reporting. Some labs are reporting monthly numbers two-three weeks in arrears.

My mother took a test and tested positive with zero symptoms. I for one think they were just pumping numbers

What if they only have positive results?

We have no idea what kind of labs those are or who they are testing.

I'm not saying they are hiding negatives, but you made up a theory based on assumptions.

So you think it is deadlier than the current CFR?

So cases are submitted one at a time as opposed to labs reporting their tally of total tests and results each morning?

You can't have it both ways. Either the numbers are pumped up or more people are dying from fewer cases.

And before you say it isn't real, the rest of the world is in on it. Including North Korea.

This isn't true. There are a number of current state health boards that setup separate COVID-19 reporting centers that don't have electronic reporting. Specifically 2 states along the gulf coast that have a fax number you send in results.

Results have # positives and total # tested under the same reporting period. People are obviously manipulating the # tested which will be exposed during CLIA evaluations once this all calms down.
