Every OT ballers favorite beach vacation destination has officially died. While crowds this weekend are well above normal due to Atlanta having a late Spring break, the crowds on the beachs are almost completely bare. Void of any vacationers, Bluetooth speakers, or 65 qt Yeti ice chests.

I've got to admit, if DeSantis doesn't sign the new bill that just passed Florida's house, I honestly see tourism in Florida dying off quickly for the beach communities. There have been more people eating and drinking at the restaurants with waits well over 2 hours. It took us 45 mins to get from Seaside to Grayton for lunch since no one is on the beach. Incredible that Florida has let this public access get this bad.

Wonder if this eventually comes up for Louisiana's private land/water disputes.

I have no idea what issue you’re talking about and I probably speak for 95% of people on this board. How would we know about Florida potential laws?

I also have no concern regarding public access to beaches there, always have private access

Any individual or condo owner owns to the water line. The only access points for those who aren't renting or own on the coast with direct beach access much use the Public Beach Access points. These are usually limited to 10 cars or less, and only around 50 yards in width. Flanked on both sides of these are typically a-hole owners or condos who run off anyone who encroaches on their "property". Most of the condos are issuing wristbands and have hired security to check and kick people out.

It was to the point a few years ago that if you wanted to cross property lines, you had to physically only use the sand that was covered with water. They've eased it to 20 feet from the surf, but you must be moving to another area. No sitting etc.

Apparently you are like the rest of the OT and only know the renters and not the owners of the houses all around that area.
