Let me guess- you’re on the wagon too. Mental midgets can’t control their alcohol. It’s not a disease. It’s lack of self-control.
I bet you suck a mean dick, probably swallow too
Congrats Mr. C ... I'm proud of you brother

Sounds like your problem isn’t alcohol.

I have been sober since Saturday night. Just feel like I need a break and it makes me feel a little better about my drinking if I can take a break for a week to 10 days every now and then. Does that make me sound like an alcoholic?
Yes you very likely have a drinking disorder, which it sounds like you realize. Consider AA or treatment, which is covered by insurance. Both will help you tremendously and not just with alcohol but also with life

Congrats my man!
You sound proud and damn well should be.
My mom is in her 70s and an intense opioid addict who has been in/out of treatment her whole life. Now, her body has finally cashed out.
Seriously, awesome job!

I am beyond unqualified to answer this for someone else.
I was probably drinking my 30,000th beer when my wife told me she was pregnant. For me, it made things real and I just lost the taste, or desire to drink. I was now responsible for someone else who wasn't an adult, and had no choice.

Even that didn't stop me. It was when my daughter got old enough to realize something was wrong with her dad. Sobered me up quickly. She's a teenager now so I may have to start back soon.

For me, just living long enough to get mine through college is the immediate goal.

Good for you. I quit the drugs and alcohol several years ago and feel a lot better.

Congrats Brother.I love waking up with a clear head.
I wonder sometimes why I wasted so many nights blowing money in Bars.
Keep living 1 day at a time.
Life is for living and enjoying.
