If there are kids/old folks around feral dogs can be really dangerous to them. I'm a dog lover but ferals get dealt with indiscriminately.
We must have different definitions for "dog lover". I guess I'm just not the type to kill indiscriminately. Not exactly suggestive of a rational person in my opinion.

You mean feeding and sheltering those poor pups? Then yes.

This seems like a "give me likes" post.

Should I go ahead and do society a favor?

My cousin was attacked by a pack a few years back. This is a very rural area where folks drop off litters and they go feral. These aren't pets. They are dangerous.

Begin by approaching them cautiously and obviously at a distance. If aggression is noted, pull trigger and don’t miss.

You own a farm and own a gun. No one will know.

I learned early in life never mistreat or threaten a stray. Make friends, give them a little food. Its much simpler to make a kill shot.

Do you often hunt dogs?

I’m guessing that you’ve only lived in the city/suburbs. If you are 20 minutes from the nearest town, you are your own animal control. Nobody is going to come out and do it for you.
Oh horse shite.
I'm 20 minutes from the nearest stop sign, much less town.
If the dogs aren't aggressive, they would be left alone. If they are aggressive, my kangal would handle the issue with no input from me. That's what I feed him for.
But I don't shoot dogs indiscriminately.
