Need to hire Krotz Springs PD to monitor that section of I-12.

Ok tough guy. You don’t know me or what life experiences I’ve had. You STFU.

Most LA interstates were designed in the 50s and largely not completed until 70s.
The increase of 18 wheeler traffic that would follow the creation of the interstate hwy system was tremendously under predicted.
Nor could the rise in passenger vehicle use, 70 plus speed limits and now the number and level of distracted drivers.
Then throw in impaired drivers.
I-12 should have been 3 lanes 30 years ago and most certainly in the post Katrina northshore world.
At least nobody in the innocent vehicle was killed or injured, all to often this is not the case.

A lot could be prevented if 18 wheelers were restricted to 65 mph and right lane only.
I’ve said 18-wheelers should only be able to use Interstates from 8p - 8a

Is a problem unto itself.
I see more bad driving from people getting stuck behind slow trucks.... than most anything else. It's almost as bad as slow people in the left lane. And none of this is about dumb MF's driving on the wrong side. Not even life long Englishmen are that boneheaded.

I-55 no better. The part over the lake bridge where they have the pile ups gives me jitters.

ALBANY — Three people lost their lives Sunday afternoon after a fiery crash on I-12. It was around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15th when there was a crash between a vehicle and motorhome. Albany Police Chief Boyd Wild said a small vehicle got onto Interstate 12 westbound through an exit ramp near mile marker 32, going against traffic. The driver continued driving eastbound in the westbound lanes and hit an RV head-on. Following the crash, the vehicle caught on fire, trapping three people inside of it. All three died on the scene. They have been identified as Jamie Pourciau of Albany, Bailey Lassabe of Albany, and her nine-year-old son. “These are tragic incidents for our community and for the families involved. We ask that everyone continue to keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers,” said Chief Wild. The driver and passengers of the RV were able to safely exit the motorhome and only had minor injuries. The triple fatal crash left I-12 closed for roughly six hours as officials investigated and cleaned up the roadway.

I can’t understand even if drunk how you drive the wrong way.
It’s not just being drunk, the person is stupid.

That stretch of interstate and I45 between Houston and Dallas are death zones.
I drove part of it twice yesterday. I-45 has more left lane campers backing up a mile worth of cars than I've seen anywhere else, ever. People start taking risks after being stuck behind these shitheads for 15+ minutes. One trip, I (and 25 other cars) spent 30 miles trying to get around these oxygen thieves.
People keep talking about the drunk angle, but don't forget they may have been stoned out of their minds.
