2 things are very likely:

1. That gun was dumped haphazardly and not probably far away and it will give you an initial direction of travel, which is already cut in half due to the train.

2. Phone calls or texts were made shortly after dumping that gun.

I'll also not that if the perp shot from the side of the vehicle, he likely did not cross over the vehicle to run. He would have put the car to his back and took off. That leaves 1 90 degree cone due to the train and wanting to run away from the scene, directly.

10 shots there's plenty of residue. Check all garbage in the direction of travel, even better if you can get a range using cell phone connections, find clothes thrown away with powder residue. Then use every camera in the neighborhood to get pic of wearing those clothes earlier in the day. Don't forget hats (residue under the bill + sweat) and shoes (glass embedded in tread).

I’m old now, but I used to be that 21 year old, driving back to an apartment after a night out with friends. She deserved to live her life, graduate, have children, move away from here. To hug her parents and create memories. It’s so senseless and unfair
It’s not fair. The problem isn’t one of fairness, as I’m sure you probably know.

It’s that it became ok to blame you for others failures. Until personal responsibility is valued, it will do nothing but get worse. Find areas it still is and go there while it still lasts, because the government and the media not only don’t want that, they’re going to fight you to ensure the worst parts of society are championed as the downtrodden which deserve equity.

I'm hoping they're collecting video from businesses in the area.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of outdoor security footage, especially at night, is useless.

True but video footage helped with the case of that jogger at 4am. Red Stick is nearby the intersection where she was gunned down. I know they have cameras outside.

City, parish, and state leadership need to all be held accountable

Good effort, but the only thing they respond to is a march on the state capital. And don’t expect any assistance from LSU administration, Nola.com is reporting they are investigating a racial slur made by a tennis team player on social media,. Priorities man!!

Blame folks like Richard Lipsey that sold the city off for their own benefit. Broome and Murphy are inept retards but it’s not an accident they’re in power

Lipsey can rot in hell, piece of shite that he is

It's almost as if there is a concerted effort to create chaos...government officials that turn a blind eye to crime or even encourage it through policy, DA's that refuse to prosecute, a complicit media that covers for it, and even propagates anti-police sentiment.

It's almost like some powerful, wealthy entity with the reach to affect all of these things wants society to be so broken that people might gladly give up much of their freedom and liberty for the prospect of law and order.

Ok that’s off topic in this thread

Has there been any public statements made by the Mayor’s office, LSU, or BRPD?

3 days now and still no arrest(a).

And yes, they’ve all released statements.

How do we know the shooting didn’t happen as the train was leaving? The shooter could’ve easily left in the opposite direction.

Why do you say that?

I just emailed Chicken to see if I have his approval to get a reward fund going on here. We need to step up and do something here. A statement needs to be made that we are fed up with this shite. Whatever we can do, we have to do it. This one hits too close to my heart as a father to just let it go. It was too random.

And now we have a fricking anchor. WHY??

We can have 12 threads on BR crime but can’t have a separate Allie Rice thread where we discuss ways to hold this city accountable? This is pure bullshite.

Oh you didn’t hear? A white girl said the n word. That’s far more important to handle and cancel her.

Why is it anchored? He’s kept politics out and racism. I am a father of three and they are getting to this age. It scares me to death thinking about them innocently sitting as a train passes and some thug opens fire on them. Have the admin thought about what was going through her mind as the last seconds of her life passed by. Because some random thug decided it was time to end her life. If we don’t step up as a society and voice our frustrations, nothing will change in Baton Rouge.

I quit trying to figure out the thought process of admin a long time ago. I have no idea why this thread was anchored. The topic is different than the other thread. We are discussing ways we can hold the city and state accountable for the unacceptable level of crime here, not just spouting off racist and political bullshite. This thread is different, admins!!!

I have a bad feeling this crime will never be solved. Seems like one of those “ unsolved” crimes that finds its way into the cold cases file.
Not sure the city wants the publicity involved with solving it.
