3 Day Fast - My Results

No weight came off on 1st or 2nd day, I weighed myself on a third day and lost a pound. But after I quit the fast I noticed I couldn't eat as much as before so had a relatively light dinner. Woke up next day and I was down about 4lbs from when I started. Now today I'm up maybe 1lb, so all and all it's about 3lbs lost or 1lb fat loss/day. I believe it was fat loss because there's less around midsection and my arms got more defined.
I didn't feel I slept better as it was advertised by many, I didn't feel great improvement from my usual intermittent fasting. And on a 3rd day I had very little energy to get anything done and was becoming a bit less attentive.
In my opinion, 1 day out of the week fast is good, or if you're already on intermittent 24 hour fast/single big meal then you can go 48 hours by skipping that one big meal.

Now eat protein and hit the weights so don't lose muscle mass

Dude, I can lose six pounds in a day in the Summer if I run midday outside or work outside.
Taking 3 days of fasting to lose 4 lbs. is silly.
You need to exercise.

Water. Carbs like to hold onto water. No carbs, less water retention.
You were not burning 3,500 calories a day with

very little energy

And let's be honest here, its not really losing 4 lbs of fat at that point, it is just shedding water, mostly.
Far better results from just consistently eating healthy and exercising reguarly.

I do exercise.
But I wasn't doing it for a weight loss, I was just looking for upsides to the fast besides claimed health benefits. Frankly, I didn't feel the health benefits- I slept a bit worse, and my sex drive was non-existent by day 3. But 1-2 days seems like a nice break for your gut to clear itself out and heal up along with your body.

I don’t know that you “feel” autophagy

Any weight number after 10lbs lost is fat loss. Like others have said that is water.
I know it sounds crazy but your body can fluctuate 1-10 lbs easy depending on what you do, eat and the amount of water/liquid you drink.

I’m probably faster than you

So you starved yourself for 3 days, lost water weight, and will gain it all right back within this week. Kudos

What you lost wasn't fat.

What drove you to do this experiment and What results were you expecting?

It's different for everyone.
I know if I don't eat anything and work and be active my body will first exhaust stored muscle glucose and then it will go for the fat. At my bodyfat % I will 100% lose fat after not eating for 24 hours and still working and working, it's a matter of how much.

He definitely lost some fat. It is why the Ozempic people lose weight including fat. Because they don't eat. But they lose muscle too

I've heard about it and health benefits of incrasing HGH naturally and healing up faster. Improved sleep was also advertised, but that didn't happen, I slept okay, but it wasn't better than my normal sleep.
It was also a little challenge to see how my body responds to calorie management.
As a side bonus I was trying to get below 200lbs which I've been unable to do last couple of months. My optimal weight is about 194-195 at 6ft, but I fluctuate depending on my diet and season between 194-204. After those 3 days I did get down to 196, and it's a good weight, gonna be keeping my carbs to a minimum, mostly keto style diet and get down to 194 over a couple of weeks.
