Yep, I question the validity of the sample. On the surface this looks like a biased sample and not a larger enough sample for the extrapolations they are trying to make.
I don’t have any idea how people pay for the luxury I see around us. And, with home prices rising significantly (and now rates as well), it makes the affordability question that much more mind boggling.

My last point.
Boomers created Applebee's.
The majority of well done steak eaters with ketchup are 5 year olds and boomers.

I’m 24 and will be 115k in the hole after PT school, but living within my means and also doing travel PT allows me to pay it back.
39k for 13 weeks of work is how I’ll slowly get back to 0 debt, don’t lump us all into the same group

Actually frickit. Let's take it a step further. Boomers said cigarettes were healthy. Boomers said oxyconton wasn't addictive, boomer said fat was evil but carbs okay.
Seriously trillions of dollars of economic burden are the fault of boomers.
frickoff with any averages. The average boomer is dumb as frick and has too much of an ego to accept responsibility for any decisions they have ever made.

Unless it’s law (not unequivocally, but very dependent on school ranking and/or specific practice group) or med school - you have to be an absolute moron to incur >$30/40k for any postgraduate degree

Tough to mentor someone who already knows it all.
Oops, just shat myself again.

I mean I'm pretty good at debate and arguing but the best way to make a living getting a JD is to be woke influencer or an ambulance chaser. So I will not go to law school.
Also problems created by boomers.

Why can't Millennials live below their means?
A. Don't want to sacrifice lifestyle
B. Don't have a choice in the matter
C. Don't know chit about personal finance
D. YOLO, suck it

Stop blaming an entire group of people for the actions of individuals. The average boomer had absolutely zero influence or control over this situation, just like the average millennial had zero influence over covid policies. We have been living in an oligarchy controlled by a small government/corporate/intellectual elite for decades now. The average person has no real say in anything that happens on a national level. Unelected, faceless, bureaucrats did all of those things that you describe, and no amount of voting gave the average person any say on that. Finally, SCOTUS has largely torched Chevron Deference, so hopefully, things can start to change gradually going forward, but the horse has been out of the barn door for nearly a century.

Excellent point, fella. I'll tell some boomers about it.
Bill Gates-Boomer
Steve Jobs- Boomer
Paul Allen-Boomer
Steve Woz-Boomer...
I'll stop there, I'm getting winded.

Go look at the average savings of the generations older than millennials.
This is not an issue unique to millennials.
And I’d bet you lunch that a shite ton of posters on this site fall right into these dire financial stats.
