Some flew back on separate commercial airlines
“Around 70 people in their 20s are under investigation in Austin, Texas, for possible infection with the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, after they chartered a plane for a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last month. At least 28 of the passengers from that flight have tested positive for the coronavirus, with dozens more tests pending.”

That's pretty ballin'. What kind of plane would you charter that could hold 28? Cost?

So much for them ready to blame Louisiana for bringing Corona to Texas

They left on March 14th.
Kind of tempted to give them a pass on this one. That was right right before stuff started shutting down and people were advised to stay home I believe.

Damn it Louisiana, why you do this?

I'll bet half the cases in the US are traceable to people like this who went on their trip, their cruise or their trip to Italy after it was clear that this thing was spreading like wildfire.

bullshite. They shut down Houston Rodeo on the 11th. Things were going pear-shaped before they left

They returned home before the US Government even put a travel ban into affect.
Yeah, things weren't looking fantastic, but people 3-4 weeks ago without a doubt didn't think it would be this serious of a problem. It was pretty much normal life at that point.
Also need to remember that these are colleges aged kids. Most of us would've done the same thing in their shoes I bet.

True. Me and the family were supposed to go to Colorado on the 13th and it was a tough decision at that point and Im a big picture thinking adult. Good thing because they closed all the lifts on the 15th-ish. College kids one day later probably didn't give it a 2nd thought at that point.

If I'm in their shoes, hard to back out at that point and I get it, but Wed 3/11 was the night the NBA shut down. The next night our schools were cancelled, NCAA tourney shut down. Things were well in the works by 3/14
