$27 Raffle Ticket Could Win Mexico’s Presidential Jet, a 2018 Boeing 788 Dreamliner

Mexico is considering a lottery to get rid of of the nation’s presidential jet, after a year of failed attempts to sell the aircraft.
Under the plan, the country would sell 6 million raffle tickets at 500 pesos each ($27). Lopez Obrador has said the plane is a poor use of resources in a country where many live in poverty.
If the president decides on a raffle, he said he’d throw in the cost of maintenance for up to two years in case the winner doesn’t have the funds for upkeep.
“Not even the wealthiest, most extravagant people have these kinds of planes,“ Lopez Obrador said. “Not even Barack Obama, with all due respect to the former president.”

Like it. good way to raise money and offload something that the government is wasting money on. if the winner was smart they could turn around and sell it for something that would be a huge profit for them and still a deal for whoever was buying it that could actually upkeep it.

Id imagine the asking price is probably pretty astronomical. especially with all the modifications and such that I imagine are needed to carry a president.

Damn. I didn't realize the peso had weakened that much against the dollar. I had not had a reason to look in about 20 years but that is a 100% decline over that length of time.

trump should buy it with the condition its used 24/7 non stop to return illegals to mexico and they cannot refuse them re entry into mexico
