Got home from a 3 night camping trip that afternoon. I had unpacked, showered, ordered a pizza and settled in to watch the NBA Playoffs. May have been the Finals? It was a Rockets game I'm pretty sure.

Roaming around in some woods near a friend's house. We barely made it home before dark, and thought we were gonna get our asses whooped, but his parents were too preoccupied with watching the chase. We plopped down in the living room floor and watched it too.

I watched the OJ Chase And The Auburn Interception Game on the same TV in the Bar at Outback Steakhouse on S. Acadian. I was a busboy.

This needs to be a national holiday. The cops chased a black man, that was wanted for murder, for hours and he lived to tell the tale.
ETA: If I remember right, there was a pistol in the glove box too!

i really wanted to watch basketball, until my mom said that they are likely to pan the camera away when it became apparent OJ was about to off himself.
