It depends where they are conjoined.
With Abby and Brittany they each control one arm and one leg so they had to learn how to coordinate their movements. They also eat separately.
But the original siamese twins had like just a band of skin connecting them so hey were two separate people.

Have to realize this is all they've ever known, so this is their "normal", unlike someone having to adapt or adjust to becoming a paraplegic or going blind, so they never had the independence and individuality we have, but it seems so unfair and I can't imagine what their lives are like.

This is fascinating. Imagine you want to stay home and do nothing one day, and your conjoined twin wants to get out and run errands. Or one of you can't sleep at night. Some parts of it seem really cool, but other parts must really suck. You're never alone, but you're never alone. What if one wants to get a tattoo but the other one doesn't, or one wants to have a few drinks but the other wants to stay sober? So many questions, and that's before you even get to the sex aspect.
