that picture is horribly pixelated. I didn't see anything that clearly was a bullethole. Not saying it isn't, just asking because it was unclear to me.

Ah God damn. That's fricking awful.
This could be as random and hard to solve as Shelby Holmes' murder.

Baton Rouge is Jackson with a state university and bigger government

I live in Louisiana and my daughter just applied to 4 SEC schools.....LSU was not one of them. BR is a Democrat shithole.

my eyes are bad but, looks like three holes in the driver's side window.

There are three distinct holes in the driver's side window.

Seems like a dangerous place to be parked at 2am but I know college kids don't always think about that kind of stuff.
That whole area is dangerous at 2 am, but it probably isn't a great place to park.
Unfortunately, there are a large group of people that think everywhere they go is going to be warm and welcoming.

yeah, bucket holes would be huge!

I zoomed in and it could be bullet holes or could be distorted reflections. I don’t think it matters one way or another. She could have been turning around to avoid the train or even to get away once the bullets started flying.
ETA Why does spell check auto change “bullet” to “bucket”?

I would love for my kids to go to LaTech when they get that age. Ruston is quaint and it’s close to my hunting camp
My oldest just started there last week. It's a great little town with a good school that hasn't gone all woke yet. Plus it's only 10 minutes from our camp, too.

LSU PD does not have jurisdiction in that area
The only time LSU PD can go off campus is when an investigation leads them to investigations off campus related to LSU crime
They are not even allowed to patrol streets off campus
I would like to point out that every bit of that is 100% false. LSUPD officers are commissioned the same as LA State Troopers. It was just the way it worked out when they went from Campus Security to a commissioned police force. The campus isn't a municipal entity on its own so they can't have their own jurisdiction. They couldn't operate as Baton Rouge City Police because BRPD has a union and Municipal Civil Service. EBRSO wouldn't commission them because they have their own Chief and don't answer to the Sheriff. LSU is a state entity so they were given State of LA commissions. They have state wide jurisdiction.
They just restrict their patrol and investigative activities (MOST OF THE TIME) to the boundaries of campus as a matter of POLICY and not law.
Straight from their website: The LSU Police Department is organized as a traditional police department and Officers are commissioned with statewide arrest authority, per Louisiana Revised Statute (LRS) 17:1805. This means all LSU Police Officers are peace officers with authority to enforce state law. They provide a full range of law enforcement services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
All Officers receive training that exceeds State standards.
LSU PD has jurisdiction on all LSU property. However, when a crime originates on LSU property, LSU PD's jurisdiction extends to any area in the state of Louisiana where the investigation may lead.
That being said, this is the OT and someone will tell me (with personal knowledge) and the internet web page of the agency LINK that neither of us know what the frick we are talking about.

This wasn't near campus. It has nothing to do with LSU
The hell it doesn't. One of their students just got murdered execution style less than a mile from campus. The leaders of the university should be at the mayor's desk right now

Yeah. Apparently my phone now changes the word bullet to bucket automatically. Putting on my tin foil hat.

Probably where ours will end up too if she only gets TOPS. She'll likely be the first on my side in 4 generations not to attend LSU.
