Yea this is tragic and im furious. The media needs to get off their arses and make these politicians, esp SWB, answer for what they turned BR into.

America was the firdt nation that actually started to abolish the practices he mentions.
And we've actually spent the last 100 years fighting wars all over the world to stop ethnic cleansing.
Furthermore, this country was not built on any of the crap he claimed.
It was built on freedom and liberty, and it is the best and most tolerant society that exists.
There are countries that currently practice slavery and ethnic cleansing. If he is so zealous to fight these things, let's see him prove it.
But the original sin argument is flawed and a weak excuse for a sad culture.

I have a feeling it was a young girl not fully understanding the risks of a shitty/crime infested area and made a poor travel decision. Leads me to think parents need to educate their kids on the risks associated with places like BR, NOLA, etc.
First step is to just stay away.
Off topic, I am so very pleased with my kids targeting College Station right now.
ETA: I am awaiting the media outrage…..crickets. Democrats nationwide are in cover up mode.

Nothing has indicated it was anything other than random
Yes parents need to teach their kids to be aware of their surroundings but she wasn’t in a terrible part of town
Had she not been caught by the train she wouldn’t have been a sitting duck
The issue is no matter where you are in BR there is a bad area not too far away
My uncle lives in a nice neighborhood & recently had his home broken into twice, both by a 16 year old with a gun on his hip
When nothing is done but a slap on the wrist they don’t care who they hurt or where
I am all for TD doing something to keep this in people’s faces
Something to publicly shame the current administration for allowing crime to run rampant
When the POS is caught hopefully someone smarter than me can pull their record & then we need to shame the judge & DA if they should have been in jail
