Eh, by the time of Mehmet the Great around 1450, they were mostly Greek and Slav (Serb) due to intermarriage with the Byzantines and other Balkan types

Most Turks especially from Western Anatolia and coastal areas along with Eastern Trace not only look European, but from a DNA perspective are probably half European as they are Turkish / Steppe types.
Look at the Osmanoglu family.....they look like any other Euro type.....because in the case of the royal family(s) of Europe they were all somewhat related .
