Never been a ford guy but you can't take away the success with Mustang, but that rear end is sooo gay. It just doesn't fit . Imo

Oh man I'm so excited! I can't wait to see these monsters on I-10 at 530 am, weaving in and out of traffic, hurrying to the plant to pay that note.

GM got way too far away from this.

The massive lower grill with tiny upper just looks terrible.

ETA-If they wanted to change the look so much they should have aped the 1970 Camaro RS with the split bumpers.

Absolutely, I have at least 10 years before my kids are out of the house and I hope it is not too late at that point to pick up one of these fine cars.

Ford never put the 5.0 in the Shelby 500... it’s been a 5.4 ltr.. and your not getting 1500 ho out of a stock 5.0 ... at least not for long!!

I never said they did, only mentioned it because its the standard mustang v8 engine and the 5.2 is a similar engine

Previous was a 5.8

Like I stated, boost and they maintain very well. There a numerous DD mustangs with well over 1000+hp The coyote and the voodoo were built to handle it with their internals

760 HP and 625 fl/lbs of torque from a 5.2l supercharged V8

That seems adequate.

I wish Ford would make a large/mid sized 4 door sports sedan on the Mustang chassis. Then put that engine under the hood.

Chevrolet did something like that with the SS and it didn't sell though. You have to get the Cadillac CTS-V for that kind of power in a 4 door.

There's a big difference between 1000 and 1500.

I'm not familiar with boosted coyotes, but I would think the compression becomes a problem if you're trying to make that kind of power running 93 octane.

To me its not so much the power that us insane, it's the getting past the EPA, California, etc rules and regs. Just a few years ago you had ecoterrorist SJWs burning down Hummer H2s for 13mpg. Now you have an entire arms race of 700hp cars that get 13mpg.

most of them are swapping out Aluminator long blocks. The factory Coyote motors are in such high demand that you can upgrade to the Aluminator for a couple thousand after selling the factory long block.

Sounds like you don’t. Hell you thought the shitty 5.4 was in the last gt500. Are you familiar with the coyote or voodoo at all?

Ftr I built a custom 6.4 Hemi that I put in my Jeep so know I don’t know anything...
