I have no idea what the upcharge is for the 6.2 but it’s worth it. Best engine ever built. Amazing power plant. The 5.3 is adequate and only adequate.

I don’t have to finance 20,000. At 2.5%, I would be stupid not to finance

Only if you put a huge lift, straight pipes, an arrow on the antenna, huge mud tires and the official truck nuts.
That’s the only way I could see justifying it

5.3 is plenty more than adequate. It’s a fine engine. 6.2 is better of course but I once had a Silverado with a V8 with less than 200hp, and it was adequate.

The 5.3 is a decent motor. It's been out a long time and refined. Should last a long time. It is gonna be slower than other trucks.
If GM is still using the Eaton G80 limited slip rear end then that is a negative. The design of those is a throw out lever that locks everything in at fairly slow speed. It is like someone kicking the back of your truck. I had one and the gear teeth that locked the rear end were breaking off with under 100k and low off road use. It was a weak looking gear. Thin with smaller teeth than needed for the slam that it endured.

Don't do it.
If VIN starts w/ 3 it's made in Mexico & GM is screwing you.
If VIN doesn't start w/ a 3 then UWA is screwing you.
