Ive always been surprised with the brake package on the rear of these cars. That disk seem tiny to you?

Same as virtually all other vehicles except some race cars and trucks. Front brakes handle 85% of the work when braking, no point adding sprung mass (which carries 7x the weight penalty of weight in the body) where it isn't needed.

I just want a F150 with that motor package in a normal King Ranch trim

You can get a Roush Supercharger for a 5.0 installed for about 10K. Will get you up to about 700HP. Get ready for about 7-8MPG.

Carol Shelby is dead. So...how is it a Shelby Mustang? I guess maybe he has a son that runs the shop in Vegas now?

Yea but that's a stupid American car!!!!

Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati all changed their names after the founder died. The name couldn't live on.

Look how fricking clean and spacious that engine bay is. That is a work of art. I'll bet it's a dream to work on.

Might want to ask yourself if Ford makes this engine produce 800 HP, will they even redesign the current chassis to handle that kind of output.

In the current models the chassis can't handle what HP puts out now.

Mustangs don't have solid axles in the rear anymore. Read up on the new GT350. By all accounts it is a world beater and one of the best true sports cars money can buy today.

This. That engine bay will be a mass of wires, sensors, modules, etc., etc.

The Hellcat can't get 707 HP to the ground, how will this get 800? Pretty ridiculous for a street car. Track day will be it's only good use. Bring it to the strip and you'll get whipped by rice burners and purpose build drag cars.

And if track day fun is your goal, there are plenty of better options. This car, like the Hellcat, is purely for image.

But then again, in 10 years, we'll be seeing 1000HP electric cars with instant full torque.

You might want to ask yourself why you'd say something so blatantly false and ignorant. Shelby was turning out 1000+ hp KR's not long ago and those only needed minimal chassis mods to handle a lot more power and torque than the 2018 promises so far.

Devils advocate: he may mean it can't handle the hp it puts out now on the twisties. I've seen a few reviews that didn't care for the current mustangs on-track handling (350GT excluded). In a straight line it can handle the power fine.

Few reviews means what? I've seen a lot that say the opposite. Considering Ford used BMW as a baseline when redesigning the latest chassis and that same chassis is used to campaign successfully against BMW, Porshe, Nissan, etc in sanctioned road racing events then I'd question the integrity of the reviews you are reading. Sorry, if you still think a Mustang is still only a straight line car then you are way behind the times.

Not that they thought it was bad, just that it was underwhelming knowing that BMW was the baseline and Ford worked hard on it bc they had to shake the solid rear axle, straight line only stigma that had followed the mustang up to the redesign.

I'm not a mustang hater, just playing devils advocate.
