I'm not hating either. I just don't think his argument makes much sense because you can take anything anyone has and find something more expensive. It'd be dumb for me to say he's not a baller because he's not driving a Veyron as his daily driver because it has leather, AC/heat and cupholders.
I'm 28 years old. I think I'll find a way to get over the shame of only being able to afford a $90k car right now. If I pull up next to dabigfella in his Aventador, I'll avert my gaze in deference.

It's a hard comparison, the merc has never been a track monster, but a cruiser. But the AMG v8s are nothing to play with. The M3 has been through a range of power plants from the earlier n/a 6 banger, to the high revving v8, to now the turbo 6.
The fact that the Camaro SS can hang with the M4 is really a testament that the American cars have "caught up" performance wise. You're only really paying for luxury with the German cars. Hell the Z06 can whip most exotics around a track at a fraction of the cost.

Oh wait this thread is real? You're asking for actual advice from the OT on how to spend ninety thousand dollars on a car? You're as bad as dabigfella - maybe worse since he's never started a thread like this. Did your uncle leave you some gas stations too?

again there's a lot more to a car than straight line speed. A Tesla P100d blows the doors off anything anyone can buy, even cars over $1M but that doesn't make it a sportscar. You clearly have never driven a sports car and been accosted by one of these mario andretti wannabes in their modded up car. They always wanna race, they get offended if you don't want to play. The guys with nice cars never pull up at the stoplight and rev their engine when they pull up next to a c63 or m4. They just don't care.

Nah, no gas stations. I've already decided on the car I'm getting. I just wanted to get thoughts on the two options it came down to for me.

Anyone who claims the 911 Turbo is a daily driver has never driven a 911 Turbo. The reason they make the 911 Carrera is to give Porsche owners a daily driver option. The 911 isn't a daily driver because it was actually designed to be a track car; one of the best track cars in the world.
Sure, you could use the 911 Turbo as a daily driver, but that doesn't make it one.
Personnally, I'll take this over the Carrera for my daily driver. Or the M4. Or the Mercedes.

i think the back of that merc is hideous. everything else looks ok though.
