Why would jeep make a Wrangler style truck but arbitrarily go off brand for the front end?
Because It's a "throwback"(recycled name)?

It’s just a Jeep Wrangler with a bed.

The Silverado is just a suburban with a bed.
The F150 is just an Expedition with a bed.
The Tacoma is just a 4runner with a bed.

This is also a convertible pickup too, and that has me and Mrs. DLauw wanting it.

It's been a great motor. It's in almost every Jeep. (and yes, it's in the dodge/chrysler minivans too)

Yeah - they use it pretty much across the board for anything that gets a V-6. Ive been thinking about buying a Jeep but don’t know much about that particular engine.

I agree. If they’de Have given us the crew chief front end, they could also produce the “Chief” with basically the same parts.

My Tacoma is probably better in every possible way but, I’d love to get one

Same thing I was thinking...without a doubt its badass looking. But my Tacoma is a better vehicle, especially with reliability. If I was the type to only keep a vehicle for 2 years, I'd jump all over it.

Is that one of those vehicles that if you ask how much it costs, you cannot afford it?

Hell no. That mock up is the definition of a car people claim they want, but then they end up cancelling the car after 2 or 3 model years because they only sell a few hundred per year nationwide.

Cars that enthusiasts say they want and cars that enthusiasts actually go to the dealership and buy are radically different.

People on the internet HAMMER companies like bmw and Porsche when they scrapped manual transmissions (porsche actually backed down and started offering manuals again) but then the sales figures show that people don't buy manuals.
