I agree with you on mechanics but asthetics are a different animal. I really thought we’d get the crew chief front end because of the demand for the “throwbacks”. Ford was first with the Tbird followed shortly after by the Mustang. Chevy came out with the Camaro shortly after, as did Dodge with the Challenger. Truth be known, I’m sad they didn’t go all in on this model.
But
With the current moves by some of the major American Car manufacturers, I can see a full size Jeep truck in the near future. I’m obviously no prognosticator, but watching automotive trends that come through the shop, that’s my prediction.

I'd be a happy Roman if I could get that first one.

But look at that total package of that concept.
Massive tires that would be gladiator exclusive (probably cost a grand or more per tire)
Soft top
Insane lift/ground clearance (for a mass production model)
The reason that concept and almost every concept looks 10x better than the production model is because the concepts would cost 2/3/4 times as much to produce.
Would people buy that concept if it started at 100k+?

quote:Yep! Waaaay minimum.
I bet it cost $40,000 at minimum.
I already have money at the dealer for the first one to their lot.
It will go nicely with my '18 Rubicon JLU.

Finally a Jeep without estrogen.

I agree with you for the most part. I’m just saying that retro styling is pretty hot these days. I think they would sell a bunch on the front end alone. Obviously, they’ll sell a lot because the Jeep Wrangler is hot commodity these days. I think they’d pull in other parties looking at Colorados/canyons and Tacoma owners. This is a midsize afterglow.
I also know that when people look at Jeeps, they immediately start either looking at others’ and what they can do to make theirs “look like that” or (like myself) start envisioning what it will look like with modifications.
We’ll be in line to order one of these for sure (wife’s grand Cherokee has almost 50k on the clock already) but I’m already thinking about a fuel cell, long arms, one ton axles, bobbed frame and a small flat bed.
