Jinchao "Patrick" Wei, a 22-year-old petty officer 2nd class, was arrested Wednesday and charged with espionage -- more specifically, conspiracy to and committing the communication of defense information to aid a foreign government.

quote:

Petty Officer Wenheng Zhao, of Monterey Park, California, was also arrested Wednesday, by FBI and NCIS agents, and is charged with conspiracy and receipt of a bribe by a public official, officials said, according to Zhao's indictment.

Detailed allegations in the article. We look back and frown about the Japanese internment camps, and they truly were a 100% risk reduction measure that possibly went overboard. But the program worked. We are in a silent battle with Chyna. If we aren't going to go the camp route, we should at least be monitoring all comms from persons of interest. Perhaps that's how these guys got caught.

Looks like they would have gotten away with it if they hadn’t been caught putting pee pee in the coke.

People won’t like your comment about internment camps, but will understand what would happen to US citizens in Japan if they were there circa 1941 (execution or enslavement). I agree, better safe than sorry, and the camps worked.

TBH I just left the Navy and there was a large influx of new recruits who went to California from China and a year or so later joined the Navy. Most had very broken English and the whole process seemed suspect. So I'd expect to see more of these.

I mean how can you truly screen and vet someone that's from China and has only been in the US for a year and a half or so?

LOL we had a congressman knowingly bang a Chinese spy, and he still gets to run around threatening political opponents with violence.

We had another congresswoman who had a chinese spy as her driver for decades. She is now 90, in a wheelchair, still making laws.

We have a POTUS whose son....

You get the idea.

Here’s a link to the DOJ announcement of the indictments two days ago.

Exactly,,,, they should both be hanged for treason, but instead one still “serves” in congress.

Every Chinese person has family and friends back home. It’s the motherland above all else.

Everyone of them are potential spies.

Our government agencies know this. So about that invading a country. They have already done it without needing to fire a single shot.

I bet they aren’t aborting like crazy or under bridges smoking fentanyl.

Come on. We all know why Biden does things to favor Chyna. They all love to talk about the weather I’m sure.

Jesus. I guess hitler just had a bad day after that jewish guy cut him off in traffic.

The Japanese Americans overwhelmingly had a sense of duty and honor to America.

For 3500 years the chinese have only cared about china.

Well, they are Democrats, so betraying the country is part of their DNA.

The thing I don't understand about it is why there were no German internment camps.
