I'm almost positive unless that is your house that that is not "tile" but just plain wood. There is literally 0 grout lines in that floor and that's basically impossible with tile.
I have wood tile in my mud room and the grout lines are very minimal. Many people who visit our house for the first time often think it is real wood.

That's a rough switch since most existing living structures are wired with coax and it would take a large investment for cable companies to make the switch, it can see it happening over time.
I know with Dish Network (and probably DirecTV), many of their secondary receivers are wireless. And the main receiver, I believe can accept CAT-5 cables ... so we may not be that far off.

Smart garage door opener and front door locks
Have these progressed to the point where they are fully functional and make sense?

I have Schlage locks and deadbolts. I believe they may make something in the wireless segment, but I think the technology is still in its infancy stage.

Fixed stairs to attic or walk-in attic access from inside the house.
Pull-down stairs suck as you get older

I would install surveillance cameras facing every entryway and the driveway.

100 % agree.

As far as deadbolts and door locks, the keypad locks are pretty nice. No need for multiple keys for kids and family members.

Those outlets should have
USB ports in them.
Why? All cell phone chargers have 110v plug in. Laptops, cell phones, tablets or pads all use 110v plugs. Am I missing something with this USB fad?

Ice makers are awesome when they're working well. Those bastards are more high maintenance than women.

Give me a porch to grill on and I'm set.

I put in alarm.com stuff (local installer and support) at my camp 18 months ago and the Schlage dead bolt has worked flawlessly. I can lock/unlock remotely, use the touchscreen to lock/unlock, get notifications if it is locked/unlocked, get status notifications if not locked during certain times, etc. Very happy with Alarm.com and Schlage.
