I had no intention of derailing this thread, I just didn't want erroneous information relative to the situation getting put out there. I am not going to list my bona fides on an open forum and it would be pointless anyway because I could write anything I want and it would be meaningless. I have hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of training/operational experience and to read something that says "head shots are never taken" is ludicrous. With reference to Kyles comments, he is referring to sniper engagements in open combat which is only one type of sniper employment.
Google T-Zone shot and Flaccid Paralysis (there is an OT term if I ever heard one) for a little education. How do I know these terms? Think about it.
That being said, you might want to reflect on the practice of stating facts based off of reading books and because you "know stuff." I mean, really, reflect on that for a minute. Enough of the derail, throw snarky comments back if you want as I am done commenting on this issue.

I didn't call you anything. I asked you how you viewed yourself and your own mental capabilities.
Care to answer?
As for as losing the argument. There isn't one to begin with. To answer my own question - try zero compared to thousands.

Opening sentence mentions not intentionally derailing thread

Your opinion of disproportionately and mine are obviously different. I want the cops to maintain the controlling power. Where you draw the line with disproportionately is an opinion, not a fact.

can you put yourself in the cops shoes and see it from their perspective and understand some of the animosity that they might have towards certain African American communities?
this. There is a lack of empathy from both sides.

Meh. You have to read back to see what that was about.

Yes, I can. But what do you think caused all this. I'll give you a hint, well frick it, I'll just tell you. Slavery, segregation, Jim crow laws.
It's very tough on both sides. That's why things will not get better however. Neither side will budge. As stated earlier, it's a powder keg.

Maybe I should have clarified, but a head shot is not the preferred shot. If there is no body armor or explosives on a target's chest, a sniper would pass up a center mass target for a smaller one?
By the way, way to misquote what I said

Disproportionately: 1. not proportionate; out of proportion, as in size or number.
280 million law abiding citizens own how many armored tanks, drones, weaponized aircraft, battering rams?
Compared to 1 million police?

OK, now answer my question. I've never been intimidated by a cop.
My last interaction with a police officer was an abandoned car sitting in our driveway at work. I got in the vehicle to see if I could put it in neutral so my guys could push it out of the way. I was then approached by a cop who wanted to know what I was doing and that if that car was used in a crime he would arrest me.
Cops watch too many cop shows. If they need(and I think they do) special units/divisions then so be it. But everyday interaction with the public does not require a SWAT/CSI officer.

Seriously, go start a thread about this on the Tactical Board (OB?) and I will be happy to comment. For now, let's just get our Jimmies Rustled over police militarization, racism and the impending Race War or wherever this thread is headed.
ETA: "explosives on a target's chest"? Hell yeah that would be the first thing to shoot. LoL.

How many slaves do you know? When was the last time you were told that you weren't welcome in a restaurant because of your skin color?
Everything that was wrong with America 50-200 years ago has been corrected to the point where minorities have MORE opportunity to have a quality life than the majority. What more do you want?

Slavery made a large portion of African Americans disobey the law in modern day?
Damn. I learned two things today.

Now, the criminals are armed to the hilt with military type weapons, body armor, etc.
Wat?
They show that clip of the bank robbers from CA back in the 90s with homemade body armor and now everybody thinks all criminals have bazookas and shite.
How often do you hear of criminals armed to the hilt w/ military weapons and body armor, Fetus? The only people I see like that on a daily basis are the police.

American Indians laugh at this. I see them shooting cops all over the country too.
Based on your logic, I am a descendent of two different indian tribes so I can shed WAY MORE blood than you.
