He did. I even pointed out that Ferguson PD is statistically better than national averages in an earlier response to you.
Militarization has a part to play here. Like the scene from the end of batman begins... Escalation.
Militarism of the police has an opposite effect on communities where crime is generally high.
My narrative? shite, my narrative is that this whole thing where cops were shot is directly due to an incompetent attorneys general in holder, and race baiting by Obama.

I'm watching the police chiefs presser right now. He just stated that the shots were 125 yards away not 225. Anyone that can operate a rifle can make that shot.

What are you inferring when you keep saying "militarization of the police"? And are you suggesting that the increase in defiance from the populace is due to this militarization? What is this based on...a gut feeling?

To add onto that, no trained snipers take head shots when body shots are available. A center mass shot with a rifle is almost certainly a death sentence.

He's talking about the acquisition of weaponry and equipment that has been surplused by the military. I actually agree with him on this.

He actually just said that they recovered pistol shell casings from the scene and due to the way the shots sounded they are "pretty sure" the shots came from a pistol.
Sounds like some asshat just shooting towards police and got a couple lucky shots in.

That's part of his stance on escalation of violence he's referring to. Police aggression increases and civilian aggression increases. They are tied together and no one is backing down. The criminals get bigger guns, the police get bigger guns. Eventually that powder keg is going to blow up.
I don't think this is a new phenomenon either, but the media is blowing it up, pun intended.
And FWIW I don't agree with him looking at it like he does, I'd rather take it on a case by case scenario.
