2 decade+ users - why are you still here?

I'm putting myself in this camp because I found this board during the 2003 football season when we were all holding our breath that LSU was going to sneak into the BCS game.
I finally registered a couple years later then ditched my original account when I was going through a divorce and created the one I have now afterward.
What's the draw? It's more than just LSU sports.
Has this place changed your life?
Are you addicted?
What keeps you coming back every day?
Is this Facebook for baws who don't want any other social media presence?
Is the need to have people respond to you feeding your ego?
I wouldn't say life-changing but I've gotten some great advice on this board that I've incorporated and made some friends and it's honestly how I absorb news.
I'll check here first when anything big happens in the world.

Almost 2 decades here. TD is the information super highway for me. I get the majority of my info from this place. Weather, politics, laughs, cry's, it has everything! Plus, when you are lucky enough to be part of threads like Garcia roofing and Bubbas roofing, you got to stick around!

I met one of my very best friends here, so it’s been life changing for me. She was a lurker and we still managed to connect. This site has its moments

15 years. Regarding football it lets me know I am sane compared to a lot of other people. Otherwise there is great travel advice and the O/T has some funny stuff.

Found this sight in 2004 from a mention in a newspaper article. Even though I rarely post, I am on here everyday all day, I never miss. Like today, this is where I go first when I wake up. This is by far the most entertaining, absolutely the funniest website I traffic daily. Ya’ll are some clever bastards.

Stumbled upon it while bored at work one day in 2003. It was fun communicating with and eventually meeting several of the 20+ers. Now it’s my go to for LSU, news, movie reviews etc. I refuse to watch the news on tv or read anything on other sites for information. I trust strangers on this site more than I trust the people who get paid to deliver it.
