Haha. I think I know you, because someone used that exact phrase to describe his drinking at the bar. If only I could recall who said it…

He dropped off the firm website a while back, but hasn’t re-surfaced.

I also heard a story suggesting it may have just been a JG thing at that firm.

It’s pretty fricking crazy considering the number of legit accidents there are to be had. If you’re gonna do shite like that, you should be making enough to disappear after a year or two before it catches up to you.

this is rich:
quote:

Motta's attorney, Sean Toomey a partner at New Orleans based law firm Liskow & Lewis, issued the following statement regarding the allegations: "Vanessa Motta is completely innocent of any wrongdoing. The government’s theory – that a lawyer barely a year out of law school decided to participate in a sprawling conspiracy – is terribly mistaken. If these accidents were in fact staged, my client was also a victim and taken advantage by others. Over the last five years Vanessa has been unjustly vilified in the press and so while we strongly believe this indictment is misguided, we are looking forward to the trial of this case where Vanessa will finally be vindicated."

That’s gonna make for some awkward pillow talk between her and Alfortish.

Hes one of the attorneys identified in the indictments. However it only ever alleges that he filed the suits. Has immunity.

I could rattle off several PM docs that need to be investigated. “It is more probable than not this herniated disc is a direct result of the accident” just as the kickback check from the PI attorney clears.

a friend of mine investigated several PM doctors during the 2000's as they were laundering money through the racehorse industry.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael North has scheduled an arraignment and detention hearing on Friday for Alfortish, while appointing a public defender to represent him. Parker pleaded not guilty and awaits a detention hearing next week. While detailing Garrison’s “extensive” cooperation, prosecutors argued in a motion that a history of “meddling” in the case warrants keeping Alfortish, 57, jailed while awaiting trial.
quote:

“Alfortish was engaged in a months-long scheme to silence Garrison through offers for pay-offs, offering to move Garrison to the Bahamas, and obstructive conduct related to Garrison’s subpoena and deposition, culminating in Garrison’s murder,” prosecutors wrote. “There is no reason for this court to believe that Alfortish will sit on the sidelines while these proceedings play out instead of meddling, as he and Motta did throughout the time they knew they were being investigated.”
quote:

In a legal filing Wednesday, prosecutors claim that Alfortish offered Garrison “$500,000 with $100,000 up front” to “take the fall” for the scheme, while also offering to relocate the prolific “slammer” to the Bahamas.
