This is basically their last chance to keep the hysteria going. If there's no spike in cases, no rational person will believe them if something like this happens in the future.

If you thought last weekend was crowded everywhere just wait..... I can assure you people enjoyed being out and about and with the weather looking pretty nice over the weekend at least here in Louisiana people will be everywhere.

JBE doesn't have the political will to extend 2-3 more weeks. The Legislature will be forced to act, and this time they will, IMO.
The city counsel isn't going to do shite about Latoya extending so she can keep doing this as long as she wants.

I listened to a good bit of the presser. I don't think any of it was a surprise. Seemed obvious that Latoya was not going to phase 2 any time soon after Memorial Day. I won't be surprised if JBE doesn't follow suit even if it's not as long as her opening delay.
