Everyone thinks the time they came of age was the greatest in human history.

Only if you managed to squeeze in some good times during that coming of age part.

I was a senior in college in 1999. I remember those days well. Seems like yesterday.

Never was into pop music, though. I was an alt rock guy.

We are the same age. I remembered hearing that song in that video but I had no idea who it was.

The music in the first half of the decade was great, but around 97-99 or so you started having a bunch of shitty rap, pop and even techno taking over. The beginning of the decline of music.

Born in 77, I think the 90s were great. Just enough technology to make things better but not overbearing.

You could post picture of tailgates at LSU from this year that would look very similar to that.

There were still people who weren’t obese in 1999

I’m sure it’s just nostalgia but I tell my wife all the time both of my kids would have loved growing up in the 80s and 90s.

And I'm posting this from my phone while waiting for my kid to finish his Taekwondo class instead of making small talk with the parent next to me.

Good thing....first it is small talk then you're getting your fishing gear destroyed over having an "emotional affair".

That's because you weren't around for the 1970's/1980's.
The 90's was the last gasp, 9/11/01 was the end, sadly.

The 90s were the last stand for mainstream rock n roll with its closing act, Grunge. Other aspects like the early wild west internet, dominating Cowboys teams, Seinfeld, Friends, great action movies, make it a decade of fond memories.

But the 80s were superior by just about any measure. A couple of points deducted from the fear of aids and getting vaporized by the commies without warning.
