As the resident poster who actually listens to Hip Hop. This guy really is absolute trash. He has zero lyrical value, and his sound is not unique at all. He is not a good rapper, period. All he does is mention killing someone, having money, smoking, bad bi***, rinse wash repeat.

The fact that he is such a big "artist" in current times is just a tall-tale sign on the state of Hip Hop. It is very sad and ridiculous.

Millenials

Why is this a millennial thing? Hip Hop started in the 70s.. The first hip hop album to top the billboards was Beastie Boys License to Ill.

When NWA started their first tour (1989 or 90 maybe) and went out for their first concert they didn't expect to see the arena was filled with mostly white fans.

If other generations had social media today, it would have been the same thing..

Jay Z is about to break $1 billion net worth, but okay.

While this is true. Jay Z is not your average rapper. He saw rap as a way to leave his hood, and he succeeded. Many of these guys, such as youngboy have no such aspiration. They make their money so they can flash off how much money they have in the hood, but dont actually want to leave or do better for themselves.

Not to mention, Jay has even dissed young rappers who take pictures with their money like this. As nobody who is truly wealthy take pictures like that.

Meh. He’s popular in the same way boosie, early Wayne, and Kodak were popular. He’s so young and his stories are so vivid, a lot of what he says resonates with people really in the hood. Doesn’t stop half of the frat population at LSU from blasting his music everywhere though

Based on the stories I'm hearing, he's probably gonna be dying it up soon too.

Dude was arrested for jumping out of a car and firing into a group of people in Baton Rouge. He then had an out-of-state kidnapping and assault charge.

Makes me nauseous that I work a normal job to get by, and that got kids posting you tube videos making millions.

Damn. Based on that info I’m not a fan. He should save those stacks of cash in the pics to pay his attorneys

This seems a little ironic. If you can't tell that he was joking, well,...
