You are aware knives have other uses besides killing things, right?

It's no different than the special snowflakes that
rush to ban a gun after a mass shooting. At least he was being facetious..

Good grief what an absolute piece of shite.

Breaks my heart to see something so evil happen to the most vulnerable people.

Did they capture him or is he dead? This is where you'd like society to suspend just/humane punishment laws and just go to work on someone.

Isn't the percentage of violence crimes per year like a huge stat that Japan is proud about?

Yes, but from how I hear their court system works, apparently has something ridiculous like a 95%+ conviction rate because of serious intimidation tactics, im sure this stat is skewed for various reasons. Not saying they arent a very safe country compared to others but just not as safe as numbers say

I lived in Tokyo for a number of years. We had a massive sarin gas attack when I was there (1994) by this group of nuts called Aum Shinrikyo. Their goal was to kill thousands. They killed 12 and injured thousands, including blinding one guy from my office.

Japan was a really great place to live. Tokyo was very safe, but they do have their share of crazy people.

Sad story.

As horrific as it is killing helpless patients in Assisted Living, I'll 19 of them stabbed to death over 1 pregnant woman in Germany stabbed to death.
