188 yr old Savannah GA memorial to war hero Nathanael Greene vandalized with "googly eyes"

The fact that the Marquis de LaFayette laid the cornerstone is actual a legit cool story.

No damage was done, and I have put googly eyes on random stuff around town as well. This I can get behind.

A lot of the articles and comments are also pretty good natured fun. I saw one lamenting that everyone cares about the eyes and no one cares about the man encased in carbonite.
Some things are objectively funny.
