Can’t put into words the joy and love that kids bring with all that sacrifice we, as parents, must make when we choose to have kids. acannot imagine my life without it/them.
About to have 1st grand baby. I can’t imagine how butnhear they are even more of a joy.

TL;DR version.
Selfish people love to focus only on their own feelings.

I can do all of that crap and our kids are 11 and 15.

But what if you just hate kids?

I don't think I ever thought about having kids or what it would be like until it happened (in my late 20s). Everyone is obviously different and I have no negative opinions about those that choose not to have kids. Knowing what I know now, I would be the type to start feeling like I was missing out on something if I were my current age (40s) with no kids.
Having your kid give you a big hug for no reason or watching them excel at something gives so much more satisfaction (and those feel good endorphins) than anything I could ever achieve myself.
Being child-free can definitely be awesome. Having children can be also.

Another great reason not to have them!
I’m kinda the same way.. i didnt even like *being* a kid when i was one.. i actually had a pretty good childhood, but still, I remember hating the fact that i had zero control over things.. at least as an adult, yeah there’s more responsibilities- but at least i can decide what i want to do when not working, where i want to go, what i want to eat, etc... as a kid, you’re almost entirely controlled by other people.. and it can become the same way as an adult, if you’re not careful.

Is this where the parents open up and say they really know what true love is?

And one reason it's not: You're sitting in the nursing home alone and forgotten.
So that's it? You're just living your life in fear of how it will be at the end?

I can see the positives, but my DNA was too special not to share.

Or because I see the same trends now that i’ve Seen before in history.
And it’s not solely racial, unless you think all productive citizens are one race.
It’s about sustainability for the peoples that built this place. Because if the trends continue we’ll hit critical mass between those that carry society and those that drag it down.
We are being forced to pay for the breeding of our own demise. It’s come to Europe and will come here and when the powder lights off it won’t be good. People aren’t that many meals from savages.
This is big picture Meta stuff. I’m not faulting individuals but the forces that are driving these trends and a society that lauds self-centered shortsightedness.

I don't care if people want to have kids or not but that list is silly and overblown. And half the list really only applies to about a 5 year window when they're really young.
Yeah, it really sucks that I can't just wake up and decide fly to Paris the same day, though. She's got a point there.

honestly tho, i will. im quite accepting of my mortality.
we place a lot of emphasis and waste a lot of resources trying to keep dying/mindless people alive into old age. once my mind and/or body are gone i do not want to live
Why don't you do it right now
