Meanwhile, upon the hill, General John Bell Hood rode up to General Stonewall Jackson and they spoke. Jackson asked Hood if he thought he'd make it through the war to which Hood replied he felt would make it through, but end up seriously wounded. Jackson replied he did not think he would survive.
